October 2022 book tour South Africa
Martyn returned from a month’s tour of South Africa in November 2022 where The Ralph Story has been creating quite a stir!
Bookshop events, talks and signings were held in several towns and cities including Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Graaff-Reinet.
"My sisters had arranged these to follow on from the local newspapers’ coverage so most events were very full. Grandfather was very well-known in South Africa, being the governor of the Healdtown Mission School attended by most of the original ANC greats, including Nelson Mandela, so that added to the general interest in the story as well."
Blog Interview - Promoting The Ralph Story
1 April 2022
Martyn was able to successfully publish The Ralph Story in March 2022 with the expert help of Claire Wingfield, literary consultant. Claire provides specialist advice and support for writers, including assistance for the self-publishing route, which enabled Martyn to transform his finished manuscript into the final paperback and eBook product.
Claire completed a final edit before typesetting and designing the cover to Martyn's specification. She has guided him through the process of publishing the book through Amazon and via the Ingram Spark database which will enable global distribution of the book to over 40,000 retailers and libraries [date TBC later this month].
Claire interviewed Martyn on her Blog, following his guest spot on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live.
